Mars’ mantle may be more complicated than previously thought. In a new study published today in the Nature-affiliated journal Scientific Reports, researchers at LSU document geochemical changes over time in the lava flows of Elysium, a major martian volcanic province.
For us the published picture, however, shows also other interesting things. Is it giant fossil? Is it evidence of past life in Mars? You can compare that picture to photos of deep sea creatures, and you will sure find it very similar to some creatures living in seas. So, is it also evidence of past sea landscapes in mars surface?
